I realize you didn't exactly ask for opinions, having said that here is mine:
I love the McCord borders, but wonder if it would be more striking with a colored background. The yellow is great, but pink (as always) would my first choice -
happy weekend

What a happy dilemma ~ too many awesome design choices! Here’s a good technique for comparing your border ideas. Open this blog post on your computer. Change the magnification from 100% to 50% or as low as it will go. (On my computer, the zoom setting is in the bottom right corner of the screen) You’ll be able to compare the border options side by side and from a “distance.” The yellow gets my vote!

Oh my goodness Jan - this is a WOWZER project. I love the the half square triangle four patches and can't wait to see what you do with the borders. I really like the yellow with the stars :-)

You have such a wonderful eye for these bright colors - I need your scraps. LOL

I think it would be fun to see those multi vines on the yellow background. Curious to see what you'll finally come up with, but I'm sure it will be a winner!

love the hst in sets,it has a great shadow cast look.

What a great project has morphed out of a "little side thing"! I like both the McCord inspired vine idea and the more solid looking starred border. I also like the suggestion of vines on a colored background. Hmmm, maybe a series is in store? This is such a happy looking project.

you put colors together that i would never think of putting together.. and it looks GORGEOUS!
thanks for posting your darling triangles!!!

How to choose, both look great...

I absolutely LOVE this quilt, no matter what borders you choose. I would really like to hear more about the process you used to select fabrics for the HSTs...it is stunning!

Absolutely gorgeous!

why not both? or mix the vine around the stars?

I think that you have to go with the star one. It gives the triangles a much stronger finish and will let the eyes be drawn to the centre of the quilt. The leafy one will allow the strength of the middle slip away. Poor you, so many opinions! Anyway I love your blog and you have inspired me to create a particular quilt just recently and I love it, so thank you.

Just this weekend while visiting my Mom, I asked if she could finish the baby quilt she started for me - 46 years ago! We got the quilt out of the box and it is a half triangle too. I love the hand cut leaves and am going to print the photo for her. You've inspired me to start my own half triangle quilt.

Jan this is gorgeous! I love the leaves.

I really love the third border...yes, very much! I love that quilt in general.

That will be a tough decision! I can't wait to see where this goes from here. It's gorgeous so far.
