I'm doing pretty well here today! How about you? I'm down to a last few cards, have a couple of gifts to wrap and just made a batch of Polish Tea Cakes, our family's new Christmas cookie favorite. The recipe was generously shared by Carole last year. If you're looking to add a new treat to your holiday repertoire, you won't go wrong with these. They were even a hit when I took them to Japan!
If you have a little crafting time left and you're looking for a small gift, Geninne just posted a wonderful felt pig, with a link to directions. Look at how she's personalized it! Also, as promised, Amy did post the the yo-yo tree instructions this week and if you weren't totally taken with gray la gran's elf slippers, how about a whole pile of them? (Scroll down.) I don't know about you, but I'm taking lots of notes to pull out next September.
This afternoon I have a few last errands, one final trip to the Post Office and then I plan to plop myself on the couch tonight and knit, knit, knit. I wish you the same.
I'm drooling for Polish Tea Cakes now! I'm making them on Thursday and I can't wait. Yummm. Thanks for the shout out, Jan. I'm so happy that these cookies are part of your Christmas tradition now.

i am making one (i think) last pair of elf slippers, and baking cookies, and then i need to clean house :(
one of these days i will get organized ... it would be nice to start gift making earlier in the year.
as jonathan richman would sing, "i get my best ideas at night!" (or, in my case, in the last week before christmas!)
enjoy the knitting tonight :)

I have one table runner binding to complete and a pillow to make--things are pretty well under control. My daughter arrives today and Christmas officially begins for me when I see her face!

That snowman looks like the Pillsbury Doughboy - maybe it's the baking location??

Those cookies look very much like a family recipe for Birds' Nests! Yum! I might need to make another batch!
