On Friday, I took a few minutes to tend to my tulips, which were needing a little tidying up. Red & yellow tulips are a favorite of mine and so cheery in the kitchen against the backdrop of endless snow. While I snipped and watered, I thought about how I've been thinking about making a red & yellow quilt for years.
Within the hour, I was up in my newly cleaned sewing room, pulling reds and yellows from the stacks, Lori's current mini-quilt-along instructions displayed within sight on my iPad. I know most are making it in blues and browns, but I don't need any more 'MidWinter Blues' around here this cold month!
As Barb has exhorted in her sidebar, Follow your bliss, not your list. That's working for me this weekend.
