When I got up this morning, I poured my coffee and couldn't resist heading into the sewing room to take a look at my completed blocks on the design wall. I moved a few things around and before I knew it, I was sewing blocks to lattice strips. I had other things planned today, but once I got going, it was difficult to stop.
I dug around the stash and found the perfect border fabric. Cleared off the cutting board and whacked away. Measured, pinned and stitched. And voila ~ by noon, my Mid-Winter Blues was assembled! I, however, was still in my pajamas.
I was going to wait until I quilted it up to share, but it has so completely restored my missing sewing enthusiasm that I decided to post my quilt top now and urge you to join the quilt-along if you are the least bit inclined. Lori's instructions couldn't be clearer and although they were posted over several weeks in bite-sized chunks, I made this up in a few afternoons. Join the fun! Next week, she will host a link-up party on her blog and you'll be able to see everyone's versions. Since the suggested color scheme was blues and browns, you'll probably be able to pick out mine.
