I didn't mean to drop off the map like that. The last few weeks have been unexpectedly busy, with lots of buzzing around. But between the trips near and far, I've been chipping away at block #3 of my lollipops quilt. That's the nice thing about projects like this, progress can be made in small snatches of available time. I have several other projects vying for attention though, so I'm going to have to reduce the workspace footprint of this one somehow. The mess is growing disproportionately to the block size!
As much fun as I've had the last few weeks ~ several trips to Amish country, a day spent exploring a quiltshop-rich area not too far from my home and a week of gallivanting on the east coast with Molly, who was in the states on a business trip ~ I'm happy to say that the calendar is pretty blank for the next month or so. A bit of a relief!
I have a few posts in the queue. Back soon.

Love the colours you have chosen. I have always wanted to make this quilt, maybe now seeing yours will be the incentive.
Thanks for coming back, you have been missed.

Hi Jan, have just discovered your blog through the gloriousapplique blog, I have got this idea in my head for an appliqué quilt on a red background so I went hunting for inspiration - so happy to have found yours as I really wasn't sure about what kind of colour scheme to be going for. Yours is absolutely lovely and has given me the reassurance I need to do this! Thanks! Danielle x
