That's been me lately...missing and lots of inaction. Last time I was here, I had high hopes and good intentions of returning to my usual routine after prepping the house to list for sale. Apparently I didn't recognize how exhausted I was, more mentally than physically, I think. And then spring allergies kicked in. No need to elaborate except to say that I was kind of out of it for a few weeks, regularly in and out of here on short notice due to a steady stream of perspective home buyers, fogged out on allergy meds. Content to read and nap my days away. Happily, the trees have finally dropped their blossoms, the sneezing and watery eyes have passed and I'm back.
I've been itching to start something new for a while. Most of my ongoing projects are at points needing major handwork or decisions, and I'd been looking for something that would require little of either. A project I could work on at the sewing machine, with minimal prep...easy to knock out a few blocks now and then, easy to clean up, when home buyers come to tour on short notice. A few sketches, a little figuring & measuring and a lot of slicing and dicing.
I'm a very happy camper!
