Actually, far from it. I'm usually the last one on the bandwagon for the newest thing, but when I saw this on a TV ad, it immediately grabbed my attention. Do you, like me, hate cutting wrapping paper with scissors because of the often resultant ragged and/or veering edge? (I know, such serious problems!) This has always bugged me. I haven't been out much lately, so when I saw it for full price at the grocery store last week, I didn't do my usual *oh, I'll wait and check it out at Target for a better deal*...no, I bought it for full price and it was worth every penny!
This handy, dandy little gadget just glides along, cutting your paper neatly and precisely. Makes gift wrapping so much easier...no more hack, hack, hacking. Go ahead, treat yourself!
I wish I had more to share today...actually, I do, but no photos yet. My time has been limited because M was re-admitted to the hospital earlier in the week. Although he had made progress in his recuperation from the pneumonia, at a certain point he hit a wall and the decision was made to bring him back in and finally resolve this. Believe me when I say that this was good news to us, we were relieved when his doctor suggested it. Last week at home was a long ordeal. He'll probably be in for another few days. I've been in and out of the city daily...and am heading in again shortly. I've read all of your good wishes and want you to know that we both appreciate them. Back soon, with luck.

Prayers and best wishes. Perhaps some knitting can be done while sitting around.

Wow Jan -- that's awful! I hope M gets better -- and for good this time. Thanks for the gadget tip -- like you, I'm not a gadget fan, but if they're good, I'll buy them!

You are both in our thoughts and prayers! I always found sitting around in the hospital a good time for small handwork projects. Please take good care of yourself! J

So sorry to hear that your husband is ill, but at least he's in the very best hands, receiving the care he needs for a speedy recovery. Sending warm thoughts to both of you - and don't forget to take care of yourself in the midst of all this now!

I'm a long-time reader but this may be my first comment. I was taught that when you're praying for somebody you should always tell them you are, so: I'm praying for your DH and for you, and for the medical professionals taking care of him!

Sorry to hear your husband's had a setback. It's frightening how persistent some of these illnesses can be. Hope by now he's improving steadily. Your story about his illness is one of the scariest I've ever heard.

This was the greatest thing ever invented for wrapping presents.

Best wishes for a smooth recovery ASAP for your husband.
(BTW I wonder if the cutter will also work on newspapers?)
