Just a quickie post this morning to ask for some help. I am trying to figure something out on Photoshop Elements and for the life of me can't do it. I'm sure it's a simple process and I suspect someone could explain it to me quickly and save me lots of time.
Here's my dilemma. I have a number of photos that are in a 4x5 format. I do not want the images cropped yet if I bring them on a disc for reprinting, they will be cropped into a 4x6 format. To avoid that, I would like to make a 4x6 outline into which I can drop and save each image. That way, it will print out at 4x6 and I can manually crop off the two 1/2" white ends (or one 1" end...whatever) on the printed photo to give me an accurate printed image.
I really should take a short course in how to use PS Elelments. I purchased an illustrated guide to the program but I can never seem to find exactly what I'm looking to do in it. I suppose I should go through it step-by-step and learn the complete basics, but with all of my other interests, I'm afraid I'm more of the *I need to do this immediately...now how the heck does it work?!!* type of user.
If you can help. either leave a comment or email me. Once I get it figured out, I'll remove the post and write about something you're actually looking for! Thanks so much!
