After lunch I sat down to write some checks and take care of all that mail that accumulated and was put aside during Molly's visit. I had the TV on, flipping among the cable news stations, transfixed by the horrifying scenes unfolding in New Orleans and environs. Outside, heavy rain...the remnants of Katrina as she heads North.
I could have sworn I heard a drip.
I called M and he's coming home to assess the situation. (And perhaps see if the engineer has any better ideas than the art teacher.) I was pretty frantic at first, but as he said, "It's only water." I guess. Considering what others are going through today, we'll count our blessings.
